The Hydro Tasmania group and its people are contributing almost $50,000 to relief efforts in Nepal following the devastating 25 April earthquake.

Collaboration between Hydro Tasmania and the Inland Fisheries Service (IFS) aims to improve the fishing experience at one of Tasmania’s most iconic trout fishing lakes.

Hydro Tasmania will donate up to $20 000 to support those affected by the earthquake in Nepal. Hydro Tasmania had employees on the ground in Nepal just prior to the devastating 25 April earthquake.

Tasmanian innovation will see the majority of Flinders Island’s energy needs supplied by renewable energy within two years. Hydro Tasmania will soon start work on developing a "Hybrid Energy Hub" on Flinders Island that will significantly increase renewable energy use on the island and reduce the use and importation of diesel.

As a key participant in Tasmania’s energy supply industry, and a Government Business Enterprise operating in the National Electricity Market (NEM), Hydro Tasmania has a keen interest in the development of the Government’s energy strategy.
