Terms and conditions for use of Hydro Tasmania's published water information
Hydro Tasmania collects water level, flow and quality and rainfall information to assist with its operations. Some of this data is made available to the public via the internet in near real time to assist members of the public to plan their recreational or business or other activities.
The water information collected and published by Hydro Tasmania (and other agencies) can include either raw data or value added information, such as plots that relate to water flow, quantity and quality or rainfall (published water information).
The published water information is telemetered data from the various field probes and sensors, which is transmitted and published by automatic processes. In order that the published water information is as up-to-date as possible it is published in its raw form as it is received and before it has been checked or verified.
From time to time the published water information may be incorrect or incomplete (e.g. the field probes and sensors may malfunction).
