Rosebery Neighbourhood House has welcomed a donation of goodies including a pool table and PlayStation delivered by Hydro Tasmania staff.
They also brought board games, toys and the haul from a recent company food drive supported by Hydro Tasmania employees.
Executive General Manager People Culture & Engagement Ruth Groom said: “Places like Rosebery Neighbourhood House are the backbone of small communities, providing an open door to all residents regardless of their age or circumstances.
“We’re proud to support the service and hope visitors enjoy the games.”
Rosebery Neighbourhood House is a community-driven organisation providing a safe and engaging hub, delivering services to support the wellbeing of local youth and the wider community.
It is an agent for Centrelink and Medicare, offers food relief, supports connections for youth and seniors and is a space for kids to hang out after school and in the holidays.
Rosebery Neighbourhood House spokesperson Tania Blake said: “People can come in and grab whatever they need. We make sure the community’s fed and anyone’s welcome. You don’t have to be in need,” Ms Blake said.
“The kids are very excited. They love the pool table and the PlayStation, and I think there’s few big kids looking forward to playing as well.”
