Hydro Tasmania’s priority is ensuring Tasmanians have a safe, reliable and fully-functioning Basslink interconnector in the future. Our experts have recommended a way to achieve that, and we look forward to working with BPL to secure that outcome.
We welcome BPL agreeing to limit cable flow to 500MW as a prudent interim measure.
We affirm our offer to continue paying the full facility fee until 31 March 2018, while BPL takes the time to review the reports in detail.
We’re confident in the findings of the two global experts. The cable fault expert attended the forensic examination of the cable, conducted in Europe.
Ends.
