Hydro Tasmania’s Chairman, Grant Every-Burns, today announced the appointment of a new Director to the Hydro Tasmania Board.

Samantha Hogg was appointed as a director on 24 August for a three year term by Her Excellency the Governor of Tasmania.

Ms Hogg replaces Janine Healey whose term ended on 31 August 2015.

“I am pleased to welcome Ms Hogg to the Board of Hydro Tasmania. She brings broad domestic and international experience in finance, marketing and strategic project management, drawing on wide-ranging experience in Australia, Canada and China,” said Mr Every-Burns.

“With a focus on the resources and road infrastructure sectors, Ms Hogg was most recently employed as Chief Financial Officer of Transurban, a road toll operator, and one of Australia’s top ASX listed companies.

“Her experience in corporate Australia over the past three decades involved working for large, capital-intensive businesses, and she will bring valuable insights from executive management roles in those corporations.”

Ms Hogg holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
