An update on the energy supply situation was provided on 30 May by the Energy Minister, Matthew Groom.

> The Energy Supply Plan, combined with recent rainfall, is ensuring energy security for Tasmania.

> There’s been significant rainfall in May. Hydro Tasmania storages are now at 23 per cent, up more than 10 per cent since late April.

> It will take time for major storages to recover. Hydro Tasmania continues to manage inflows prudently.

> We have turned the corner, but can’t become complacent.  That’s why the Energy Supply Plan continues to be so important.
