27 July 2016 (?)
Hydro Tasmania advises that people should avoid entering the King River below Crotty Dam with immediate effect.
High water levels in Lake Burbury mean the dewatering valve at Crotty Dam (Lake Burbury) is being opened today (Thursday 28 July), in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Opening the valve will cause higher than usual water levels in the King River.
For safety reasons, people should avoid entering the river below Crotty Dam, or using it for any recreational activities, until further notice.
Hydro Tasmania apologises for any inconvenience.
