In 2022, the Long Walk came to Tasmania, as part of the Northern Tasmanian Football Association's Aboriginal Round. Hydro Tasmania has been a proud sponsor of the event and the round, which celebrates the contributions of Aboriginal footballers to the competition. Watch the recap video here!

Hydro Tasmania made a splash at Agfest Field Days 2024, with the debut of our new interactive power station experience, ‘the Water to Wire Power Station’. Nestled in on the corner of Mainstreet and Ninth Avenue, this interactive power station promised an electrifying experience for attendees of all ages.

The endangered Australasian bittern is elusive; almost always heard, but not seen. For the first time in over 40 years, the distinctive booming call of this special bird has been heard at the Lagoon of Islands in on Tasmania’s Central Plateau.
Klimt started working with us 15 years ago, as a Graduate Finance Analyst. Fast forward to today, and Klimt is now a senior leader in our Finance team, whilst also operating a popular brewery in his ‘free time’.

Sarah and Cameron met working at Hydro Tasmania and are expecting their first baby later this year! With our gender-neutral parental leave, both can access equal amounts of paid leave, at the same time if they want. This leave policy is just one of our gender equality initiatives.
